Important Notice: This application is a companion tool for a smart ring designed to display infrared temperature measurements and temperature curves. This application is not a medical device. All temperature data is for reference only and should not be used for medical diagnosis, treatment, or medical decision-making. If you feel unwell, please seek professional medical advice promptly.
Welcome to the "HMMeas" application (hereinafter referred to as "the App" or "we"). We understand the importance of your personal information and are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information.
1. Information We Collect
To provide infrared temperature measurement and curve display services for the smart ring, we may collect the following information:
1.1 Device and Connection Information
- Smart ring device identification information (such as device name, MAC address, firmware version, etc.) used to establish Bluetooth connection and identify the device;
1.2 Temperature Measurement Data (Sensitive Health Data)
- Temperature data collected through the smart ring’s infrared sensor;
- Measurement time and historical temperature curve records;
- Measurement records that you actively save or mark.
1.3 Permission-Related Information
- Bluetooth permission: Used to connect to and control the smart ring;
- Location permission (required by some Android systems): Used only for scanning nearby Bluetooth devices. We do not continuously collect or use your precise location;
- Storage permission (if required): Used for saving temperature curve images or exporting data.
Special Note: We do not collect your name, ID number, precise geographic location, contacts, SMS, call logs, camera, microphone, or any other information unrelated to temperature measurement.
2. How We Use the Collected Information
- Establish and maintain the Bluetooth connection between the smart ring and your phone;
- Display real-time infrared temperature values and generate temperature curves;
- Store and manage historical measurement records locally on your phone for your review;
- Optimize app performance, fix issues, and improve user experience;
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
We will not use your temperature data for advertising, user profiling, or sell it to third parties.
3. Data Storage and Security
- All temperature measurement data is stored only locally on your phone and is never automatically uploaded to any server or cloud;
- We do not silently collect or sync your temperature data in the background;
- Data security is protected by your phone’s system security mechanisms.
4. Optional Data Sharing (User-Initiated)
The App provides an optional feature that allows you to actively send temperature data to us (the developer) via email for the purposes of feedback, feature improvement, or technical support.
- This feature is entirely initiated by you; we will never force or enable it by default;
- The email content you send (including temperature data) will only be used for the support purposes mentioned above;
- We will not use the data you provide via email for any other commercial purposes, nor will we share it with third parties.
5. Information Sharing and Disclosure
Except for the user-initiated email sharing described above, we will not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party, except in the following circumstances:
- With your explicit consent;
- As required by laws, regulations, or government authorities;
- To protect the legitimate rights and interests of us, our users, or the public.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- View, export, or delete local historical temperature records within the App;
- Disable Bluetooth, location, and other permissions through your system settings (disabling them may prevent the device from connecting properly);
- Uninstall the App to stop all data collection;
- Contact us to inquire about or handle related issues.
7. Protection of Minors
This App is primarily intended for adults. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a minor without verifiable parental consent, we will take steps to delete the relevant data as soon as possible.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be posted on this page with the revision date indicated. For significant changes, we will notify you through in-app notifications or other appropriate means.
